There is no soot when you burn a soybean wax candle.  They always burn clean, pure, and beautifully.  The Swan Creek Candle Co. has increased the oil content in their product to the maximum amount possible, which is what allows for the cleanest soot free burning.  For the very best results, always keep the wick centered and do your best to keep the candle away from drafts, which could cause smoke.

Their candles are completely natural and environmentally friendly.  The wicks are made from 100% cotton and are always lead-free.  The wax is made from the oil of soybeans.  Soybeans are a sustainable and renewable resource, and another benefit of utilizing them is that it supports the American farming community.
